TECHNIWAVE has developed a family of RF transceivers for the mobile backhaul network. Due to the dramatic growth in wireless data traffic, telecommunications companies must deploy multi-gigabit links. Solutions using wireless backhaul in the E band (71-76 and 81-86 GHz) will open up a frequency range of 10 GHz. This enables data rates above 1 Gbps for video and data services. These compact subsystems integrate all RF blocks, such as power amplifier (PA), low noise amplifier (LNA), direct mixing with analog differential IQ interfaces, baseband filters, Receiver gain control, synthesizer power and adjustable output. µstrip to waveguide transitions have been optimized to minimize losses behind the antenna. A duplexer is mounted directly on the mechanics of the transceiver to obtain a low noise figure.
